Seattle, Washington
Seattle was freezing yesterday! We checked the weather and it said 75 degrees, so we wore shorts, because in St. Louis, that’s what I would wear if it was 75 degrees there. Well, we forgot to take into account that the sun doesn’t shine here, it’s windy and it’s right by the water! Needless to say, it was very cold, especially on the top of the double decker bus we took to tour the city.

We did an underground tour of the city when it was first built. Everything was built after a fire that destroyed the city, then the tide came in and washed everything away. They built the city above the old buildings and we got to go under the sidewalks to see the old banks and hotels from the 1800’s. We also learned all about the “seamstresses” and Madame Lou who turned the recession the city was facing right around.

Last night we went to the Space Needle. The pictures below will describe everything.

Sleep didn’t happen for any of us last night. Between grandpa’s neck, grandma’s snoringand brendan’s leg thumping, we weren’t too excited to be woken up. However, when we realized we were going to be on the ship later this afternoon, we didn’t really care!
After attaching my motion sickness ear patch, we went downstairs to get breakfast and take the 15 passenger van to Port 91 to board our ship! Bon Voyage!
