Wanna-be Alaskan

Packing…I might have to sit on my suitcase

I decided to start a blog.  I like to write.  No, I love to write.  So, I am going on an Alaskan cruise in a few days and I decided to share my adventures.

I’ve been quite successful putting off packing. I took off work Monday and Tuesday so I could have two full days to pack for 90 degree rainy weather in Seattle and 50 degree cold weather in Alaska. The pool on the ship and land excursions add to my collection of clothes piled on my bed. If we were going to the beach, I’d take a few swim suits, some flip flops and goggles! It seems that Alaska is the most challenging place I’ve ever had to pack for.

Wednesday and Thursday will be spent in Seattle touring the city and drinking some great Seattle’s Best Coffee! Yum! Friday, we will disembark and will be on the ship until our first stop in Juneau, Alaska.

Tomorrow our flight leaves at 9:45 a.m.  Airports are one of my favorite places in the world. I love sitting in airports, going through security II’m weird, I know), people watching, drinking coffee and getting all excited when I see my plane getting ready to board.  I just love vacations-but who doesn’t! I have two camera batteries and three memory cards packed so I will take plenty of pictures!
